Lyndall, her colleagues at Dorchester Counselling, and their community collaborators implement evidence-informed care to focus on specific treatment goals and facilitate deep exploration for healing longstanding issues.
Lyndall strives to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment, and prioritizes the emotional, psychological, and cultural safety of her clients.
BACKGROUND & PHILOSOPHY
Originally a child immigrant from South Africa, I now call beautiful Dorchester, Ontario, my home—truly one of the best places in the world to live! My educational journey includes a 4-year Bachelor of Arts from Western University, a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria in British Columbia, and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Windsor. This background in the humanities and social work has instilled in me a passion for promoting mental health as a fundamental right essential to a healthy society. Additionally, my experiences as a traveler have deepened my appreciation for the unique and precious nature of everyone’s story.
This ethos shapes my approach to therapy, which I deeply love. I resonate with Viktor Frankl’s belief that the search for life’s meaning is found in our relationships, work, and even our suffering.
I strive to help my clients feel love, belonging, and connection in their relationships. I want you to find purpose and motivation in your work. And it is my honour and aim to provide comfort in your struggles and dignity in your grief.
